Isko hosts Responsible Denim event for sustainability, focus on LCAs
Isko recently hosted the ‘Responsible Denim’ event to share knowledge and experiences on the development of an integrated field-to-fabric approach all along the value chain. It helped to think about what choices can be made to give shape to a greener and better future. Isko is the only denim mill to have bagged the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel, they also have an Environmental Management System in place at the Isko factory.
Isko worked to obtain Life-Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for all of its 25,000+ denim products, evaluating their total life cycle from raw material to waste/recycling. To ensure the validity and replicability of these LCAs, Isko was also the first denim manufacturer to get pre-certified EPDs, providing impacts for 1 square metre of fabric.
